4. Super Potato
If you’re a video game fan you’ll love Super Potato. It’s a chain of video game shops in Japan just as we have Game in the UK or Gamestop in the US. We’ll cover Akihbara a little lower down, but if you want to go to the ultimate video game store you should definitely check out the Super Potato shop in the area.
Spread across several floors there are sections for video games dating back to the early years of the Famicom and Sega SG-1000, all the way up to modern and current consoles. You’ll also see lots of displays of all sorts of boxes and posters and can buy figurines and play arcade games whilst in the store. Any fan of gaming history could easily spend a whole day in here.
