What is Extreme Improv?
Extreme Improv is a fast paced competetive improvised comedy show where actors and comedians battle each other with comedy to win the Extreme Improv Championship belt!
Since our first show in 2017 Extreme Improv has performed live shows all over the world with Extreme Improv performances in mainland Europe, Asia and North America!
The show takes traditional short form improvised theatre and pushes limits with extreme twists and innovations making it the most challanging and ridiculous improv comedy show on the planet!
When you see Extreme Improv in action you get an incredibly funny, hugely interactive show which gives every audience a unique and hilarious comedy experience every single night!
Created by Sparky Buddy Productions Artistic Director David Pustansky, the show includes many brand new improv challenges created specifically for Extreme Improv. And what’s more, where we do play classic improv games, we load them up with ‘extreme twists’ to make them unlike anything you will have seen on Whose Line Is It Anyway? or any other improv show in town!
In Extreme Improv you’ll see fearless performers challenge brand new games such as Verbatim, Body Language, and the Dreaded Gemini Scene which are entirely original to Extreme Improv!
We also add ‘extreme twists’ to classic improv games such as Theatre Styles, Alphabet Scenes and Questions Only to make them fresh for a modern audience!
And unlike most other improv shows, Extreme Improv has a true competeive edge! Our performers go to comedic war with each other to see who will be crowned the Extreme Improv Champion!
Where can I see Extreme Improv?
Extreme Improv performs regular shows in London at venues such as the Cockpit Theatre, the Camden Comedy Club and the Etcetera Theatre as well as others. Outside of London, we often have shows at Aylesbury’s Waterside Theatre, Hemel Hempstead’s Old Town Hall, and multiple performances in places such as Brighton, Sheffield, Manchester and Nottingham.
