Wrestling fans around the world were treated to something none of us could have imagined in 2022, and that was the return of The Nature Boy Ric Flair to the wrestling ring after his previous retirements in WWE at Wrestlemania 24, and in TNA/Impact Wrestling a few years later.
See our video review on the Slam Jam Wrestling Show YouTube Channel below:
Ric Flair would return to end his career on his own terms in an event promoted by his son in law Conrad Thompson under the Jim Crockett Promotions banner. The event would be titled Ric Flair’s Last Match and the main event would see Flair tag with his other son in law Andrade El Idolo to defeat Jay Lethal and Double J Jeff Jarrett.
As a tie in to this event Flair teamed up with the fine folks at The Major Wrestling Figure Podcast to see an official Ric Flair’s Last Match Major Bendie figure released.
The figure is sterdy and is of Flair looking younger than at the time of the Last Match event, but wearing the robe he would go on to wear for his entrance for his last match. Unfortunately it doesn’t have the surprise of the original NWA/WCW Big Gold Belt which he came out wearing that had thought to have been lost for many years.
This is a high quality figure and a great addition to the Major Bendies line. I’d highly reccomend collectors seek out this sure to be rare in the future Major Bendie which has the added significance of being released to mark the end of the in ring career of the dirtiest player in the game Ric Flair.
