If you’re an action figure colector, a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or a fan of Cobra Kai, you will want this awesome match up of Cobra Kai’s Johnny Lawrence facing off against the Ninja Turtle Donatello.

For kids that grew up on Ninja Turtles and the Karate Kid it’s a great time to be a figure collector and a get one of four two packs. The Donatello figure is a great looking figure, although they chose to keep most of the usual coloured eye and arm bands as black and only have wrist bands and a logo on the karate gi match the colour to tell the turtles apart from one another. The only other way to tell the turtle figures from one another is by their facial expressions.
Donatello comes with only one weapon compared to the others which come with two each. This won’t matter much as many collectors will keep this mint on card anyway.
The Johnny Lawrence figure is decent although perhaps a bit skinny comapred to the very large turtle figures. Amusingly when you have the old school retro style Donatello figure it says that he is only meant to be about 4 feet tall which makes Johnny Lawrence here seem like a Hobbit if that were true.
I love the artwork and deisgn of these Ninja Turtles battle two packs. They’re presented like the vs scren from a fighting video game and make great display pieces just as they are. The figures are also very poseable if you do wish to unbox them which would be great for collectors who like to take photos or do stop motion animation with them.
Conclusion
These are fantastic figures and well presented, but ever so slightly let down on the Cobra Kai front as they haven’t got quite as good a likeness as is available on the Diamond Select Toys Cobra Kai figures. It’s almost like the Cobra Kai figures here would be best suited to face off against the retro Playmates Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures whilst the Donatello here would be better to face the Diamond Select Cobra Kai figures.
