Sonic the Hedgehog
It’s a shame that Nintendo and Sega haven’t yet collaborated to give us a Mario and Sonic Amiibo series, or Sega giving us other Sonic Amiibo beyond this Sonic. The running stance fits Sonic’s character, but as good as this is, it would be great to see a classic Sonic in his finger wagging Sonic title screen pose.
Famicom R.O.B
There is some mystique to getting import Famicom systems, games and merch if you’re outside of Japan. Seeing this red and cream coloured ROB definitely has more appeal to the standard grey tone western ROB.
Pink Yarn Yoshi
The Pink Yoshis look good enough to eat, like pink marshmallows, and with the same great design as the blue and green Yarn Yoshi’s this is a great Amiibo for your collection.
Urbosa
The wide legs and support stand add up for an unfortunate pose, but otherwise this is a great addition to the Legend of Zelda series.
Daisy
This Amiibo literally looks like it was made just so women who are Nintendo fans would decide to get married in a yellow dress so this can stand atop their wedding cakes! The hands on the hips and bright expression make this the best Daisy available.
Gold Mega Man
Mega Man is a character loved by so many, so it made sense that fans would have been thrilled to see this all gold version available.
Falco
Falco is the Rapheal to Fox’s Leonardo and whilst not the leader is the hot headed fan favourite who fans always want to see get a bigger role. This pose makes it look like Falco is about to launch into the air and fly…no Arwing needed.
Solaire of Astora
If you’re a fan of Dark Souls how could you possibly miss the opportunity to get this Solaire of Astora figure that unlocks the praise the sun gesture from the start of the game. It’s an Amiibo that few could have predicted and it’s one that fans of the rock hard game were pleased to get.
Joker
Another character people may have been surprised to get an Amiibo form is Joker from Persona 5. The series is super popular, but his inclusion in Smash Bros is another left field inclusion which always delights fans and this figure is beautifully designed.
Detective Pikachu
The largest plastic Amiibo available, this Detective Pikachu figure is actually super rare now as it came out alongside the original 3DS game, and not the movie starring Ryan Reynolds. As such whilst this is true to the original deisgn of the character, some may be slightly disappointed that this doesn’t have the realistic fur texture as seen in the movie.
