Stephen King fans. Let’s talk about that time Stephen King basically wrote the same story twice and no one noticed.
Stephen King wrote the story The Dark Half which told the story of an author who one day is visited by a shady individual. This shady individual then threatens the author, that he will expose that he knows that that the author writes under a pen name. This will reveal that the author writes a different series of books than what he is publicly known for under his real name.
Then some Stephen King magic happens, and it turns out that the author actually has a split personality of sorts. Then the evil side of him starts killing and causing trouble whilst being investigated by the local sherif.
Towards the end of the story, the evil side of the author’s personality then becomes a threat to his own wife.
That is the story of the book The Dark Half.
Now let’s look at another Stephen King book…Secret Window.
Stephen King wrote Secret Window which is about an author who gets visited by a mysterious man who threatens him. It is then revealed that the author has an evil split personality who like in the Dark Half, he must also confront.
Then the evil side of the author becomes a threat to his own wife, all whilst being investigated by the local sheriff.
And check this out, both books have film adaptations, and the main character in the Dark Half adaptation was played by the actor Timothy Hutton who then would play the lover of the author’s ex-wife in the adaptation of Secret Window.
