The phrase ‘Yes And’ is probably the most well known saying associated to improv. It promotes the idea that when performing improv, the best practice is to say ‘yes and’ to what your scene partners offer you. This doens’t always mean that you say it literally, but rather that you accept offers given to you and build upon them to enrich your scenes.
