3: Attend An Improv Jam
Improv Jams are a great way to get stage time and work with new people. They are also a great opportunity to perform in front of a supportive audience if you’re new to performing and a good chance to discuss the performance with others without it feeling as formal as feedback during a class ort workshop.
Improv Jams are also great as there isn’t the expectation that you have to perform. You can simply go and watch and take part if you wish to volunteer to. Your name isn’t on the billing and you won’t be letting anyone down if you decide you just want to sit back and enjoy some scene work.
Jams can also feature lots and lots of different performers who want a chance to jam on stage so again it’s a chance to see different performance styles and maybe learn a few new games or scene structures.
