F-Zero GX
Mario Kart Smario Kart. Everyone always forgets that Nintendo had another awesome racing franchise before the plumber took to the steering wheel. F-Fero G-X was the blistering fast futuristic racer that was easy to get into and hard to master. Some players prefer F-Zero X on the N64 to this next gen sequel, but both are brilliant games.
The upped graphics and tight controls in this game which was produced in partnership with Sega is criminally the last proper F-Zero game Nintendo has put out on consoles. The game was also compatible with the F-Zero AX Arcade game which game out around the same time. By taking your GameCube memory card to the Arcade you could unlock new tracks and characters to play as at home.
The game was also the first in the series to add in a story mode and we got to dig into the world of Captain Falcon outside of his Falcon Punch in Smash Bros.
