Spider-Man No Way Home Trailer Confirms Huge Rumours

Sony and Marvel have finally dropped a trailer for the hotly anticipated Spider-Man No Way Home movie which will release in cinemas this Christmas.

The trailer reveals the plot will as rumoured feature Peter Parker seeking the assistance of Doctor Strange to cast a spell to make people forget that he is Spider-Man. This is following the ending of Spider-Man Far From Home where his identity as the web slinger was revealed by J.Jonah Jameson, who is once again played by J.K Simmons who played the character in the Sam Raimi trilogy.

The huge news is that the long rumoured but now finally confirmed reappearance of villains from past Spider-Man films from the pre-MCU eras will appear. The trailer ends with Doctor Octopus appearing as played by Alfred Molina who agin had previously played the role in the Sam Raimi film Spider-Man 2. Also hinted at to the point of near confirmation was the appearance of a grenade like weapon which was used by Willem Defoe’s Green Goblin, and this was accompanied by a voice which could easily have been Defoe.

The last major tease was a scene showing an electrical storm which would indicate the return of Jamie Fox as Electro from the Amazing Spider-Man series.

This all confirms the multiverse is going to be a big part of this film after being a big plot point of the last MCU Spider-Man film and the focus of the recent Loki Disney Plus series.

Almost certainly being saved for a later trailer will be the still unconfirmed return of Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their versions of Spider-Man. Some believe we won’t get their returns confirmed until we are in the cinema to see the film, but with the huge potential to sell action figures and other merch based on the Spider-Men it would be a safe bet to expect them to be the centre piece of a future trailer.
