One of the big things that has been known about and hyped up since the early days of All Elite Wrestling has been that there would be a AEW video game. Kenny Omega, who is one of the Executive Vice Presidents of AEW is a huge gamer and fans have been excited to see that the wrestling star would be so hands on to ensure that the AEW video game is something special.
A few months ago, All Elite Wrestling announced their AEW Games division, and as had been rumoured the company who would be partnering with AEW to develop the game was Yukes who had famously worked with WWE on their games for many years.
When we finally got a look at the game , fans were excited, but one point of concern was that the graphics appeared slightly cartoonish and bulky, like an evolution and call back to the graphics of the N64 games like WWE No Mercy.
Well that footage was from very early in the game’s development, and this new look that has just been shared by AEW shows that the character graphics have had a massive overhaul towards a more realistic presentation. You can see the new graphics in the clip below if the wrestler Darby Allin:
For comparison here is the original trailer of the game with the older style graphics. I think most would agree it’s seen a huge improvement.
