KENTA Debuts in All Elite Wrestling at Beach Break

All Elite Wrestling Dynamite ended with the shocking surprise debute of New Japan Pro Wrestling star KENTA attacking Jon Moxley after the main event.

This followed the main event which saw the former Bullet Club members AEW World Champion Kenny Omega and Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Gallows and Anderson defeat Moxley, Rey Fenix and PAC. After the match ended the former Bullet Club members continued to put the beat down on Fenix, only for Mox to come to the rescue, before being attacked by a man in a mask.

When the mask was removed we saw that it was KENTA who also took off a jacket to reveal he was wearing a Bullet Club T-shirt with his trademark Go 2 Sleep Club logo on the front.
Clearly this is part of a deal between AEW and NJPW which will see Moxley defend his IWGP United States Championship in NJPW in the near future, but is the first sign that the ‘forbidden door’ between members of The Elite and NJPW may finally be starting to open.

NJPW have up to this point not been willing to work directly with AEW, as they were understandably feeling burned after Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks all decided to leave NJPW and join Tony Khan to start a new promotion rather than stick with NJPW which had arguably made them into the stars that put them into that position of value.

NJPW had big plans for expansion to the United States and losing their 4 biggest international stars meant they couldn’t make as big an impact as they would have otherwise. Perhaps now that things are two years later all sides are able to see that there are more benefits from working together then if they all continue to go alone.

With Gallows and Anderson being in the fold from Impact Wrestling, this could be a new version of the Bullet Club which combines elements from Impact, AEW and NJPW and with the cross over potential from all three companies this is sure to get a lot of hype and especially elevate Dynamite in their Wednesday night wars with WWE and NXT.
