Four Weddings And A Cyberman Plus Other Hugh Grant Doctor Who Adventures

Just for fun, let’s imagine some Hugh Grant X Doctor Who movie titles…or Doctor Hugh movies as we might say. Hugh, who played a version of the Doctor in the 1999 Red Nose Day special ‘The Curse of Fatal Death’ is currently rumoured to be returning to the role ahead of the show’s 60th Anniversary as a candidate to take over from Jodie Whittaker’s 13th Doctor.

Whether Hugh Grant plays a future iteration of the Doctor or not, here’s some posters we’ve mocked up to make them a bit more Doctor Hugh!

Four Weddings and a Cyberman

To be fair with a Cyberman about this could have also been called Four Weddings and Many Funerals!

Love and Monsters

A reimagining of the classic David Tennant episode. We imagine that Hugh Grant’s Doctor would appear very little and Mark Warren would once again take the lead as he tried to investigate the Doctor. The Doctor would appear at the end to run to an airport to confess his love to the Abzorbaloff.

Ninth Months

Doctor Who teams up with the Ninth Doctor as they try to figure out which one is pregnant. Then the Ninth Doctor realises that he doesn’t like multi Doctor storylines and leaves.

Mickey Blue Eyes

Mickey Smith plays the Doctor Hugh’s betrothed, but hijinx occurs when the mafia start getting involved. It would be the the best episode of the season.

Not In Coal Hill

Clara is the most famous school teacher at Coal Hill School. Doctor Hugh’s granddaughter Susan Foreman is a student there. They meet. They fall in love. There’s probably a scene with Rory stood at the Tardis door in his pants.

Martha Jones’s Diary

Everyone’s favourite. Doctor Hugh and his rival Mr Darcy battle over the affections for Martha Jones, who narrates the whole thing to the delight of audience’s everywhere.
