Reports are coming out that Cesaro (real name Claudio Castanoli) is no longer with World Wrestling Entertainment. Having signed with WWE originally in 2011, his leaving ends an 11 year run with the company where he was a 7 time tag team champion, United States Champion and the winner of the first ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Details on Cesaro’s leaving are not fully clear yet, but it would appear that his contract run up and he decided not to negotiate a new contract with the WWE.
It could be expected that he will emerge in AEW shortly, but there is also the possibility that he may pursue work in New Japan Pro Wrestling and with the relaunch of Ring of Honor, where he previously worked before going to the WWE.
