If you weren’t excited about the Snyder Cut enough already, Zack Snyder has given us this first look at Jared Leto’s return to the role that he played previously in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad in 2016.

it will be interesting to see how the character has developed since Suicide Squad where the Leto and the character arguably didn’t get a fair shake, as many of the Joker scenes were left in the cutting room floor.

We can hardly see the character in this image although this tease does seem to bring the Joker closer in line with the look scene in The Dark Knight and Joker where he was played by Heath Ledger and Joaquin Phoenix respectively. His hair looks longer and darker and there seems to be more contrast on his face, which suggests that he may have may in ways of clown paint then we saw in Suicide Squad. There is also no visible evidence of the tattoo of the word ‘Damaged’ on the forehead as seen before.

This tweet and no doubt when the Snyder Cut sees a release will hype up fans even more for the possibility of the director’s cut of the 2016 Suicide Squad.

We’ll see if this leads to more of Jared Leto as the Joker in future films or if we may see the Ayer Cut after Justice League The Snyder Cut releases on March 18th on HBO Max.
