Marvel Entertainment have finally announced the official title and given a date to the next entry in the Spider-Man movie series in the MCU.
In a tweet today shared on the Marvel Twitter account a short video showed the stars of the francise which included Tom Halland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon who play Spider-Man/Peter Parker, MJ Watson and Ned respectively.
The actors discuss that Tom keeps getting given fake names by the studio because he has become known to let slip and leak info about the previous MCU films to the press. They then walk past a white board which has many potential names that weren’t selected and in the centre shows off the official title for the film that is Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In addition to the title, which is then displayed with the logo at the end of the teaser we also get confirmation that the film will release only in cinemas this Christmas. This comes after a number of films have been dual released to cinema and streaming platforms over the last year.
The title No Way Home certainly does fit in with the rumours that the film will see Tom Holland in some way go into the Spiderverse/multiverse and this could suggest that Spider-Man may end up trapped in another dimension. This could lead into the next Doctor Strange film where he would have to rescue Spider-Man.
